Form cutters
-
- Body form: form defined by a DXF file.
- Face form: flat.
-
- A transformation is useful when the center of the tool is not in the same plane as the tool axis. So, an insert can be clamped with a vice differing to the tool axis (headstock).
- Feasibility limited depending on machine layout and clamping system.
- Probing of tool location is not possible.
- This option demands item no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters).
-
- Modulation of diameter according to NUMROTO calculations (customer specific adaptation possible).
- This option demands item no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters).
-
- Allows multi-axis oscillation in the direction of the relief angle.
- This option demands item no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters).
- For this option a special program with dynamic operators in C has to be created once.
- Also the CNC has to be capable of running programs with dynamic operators in C. It might be that the CNC option for dynamic operators in C has to be purchased.

- Allows multi-axis oscillation in the direction of the relief angle.
- This option demands item no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters).
- For this option a special program with dynamic operators in C has to be created once. On the Flexium CNC no additional CNC option is needed (compared to the Axium CNC).
-
- Additional module for form cutters for simplified programming of indexable inserts. The following operations can be ground:
- Form relief 1 and 2
- Chip groove - The following clamping orientations are supported:
- In longitudinal direction
- In the front plane
- Vertical to the front plane - This option demands items no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters), CH-50052450 (Clamping system transformation) and CH-50052670 (3D tool simulation).

-
- This option allows a quick generation of a saw tooth shape, as an alternative to the design in the profile editor.
- Everything else must be done as usual as a form cutter together with the clamping system transformation.
- Tooth shapes are supported, which consist of a straight rake face, a base radius and a back radius. All other shapes must be designed in the profile editor or an external CAD system.
- Training by NUMROTO application engineers is recommended.
- This option demands items no. CH-50052150 (Form cutters) and CH-50052450 (Clamping system transformation).
